I'm delighted that you've stopped by.
Yankee Bayou started a year ago when we heard the news that our military family would be relocating "Down Da Bayou" from Northern Virginia. While we've moved many times, this was the first move recorded out loud from this very spot. Our fun filled adventures are written here as a place to share the experience with you.
I'm a New Yorker at heart and an avid New York Yankee fan (hence the name). Our Northern perspective hints at peculiar Southern notions that many snow bound folks just don't get to see. We aren't here to poke fun, but rather to soak up as much of the Cajun Country as we can before we have to pack up and move again.
